These Terms govern your use of NRINest (“NRINest”, “we”, “us”, “our”) — our website, apps and services (the “Platform”). By accessing or using the Platform you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, our Acceptable Use Policy and the other policies linked in the footer. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
1. Who we are, and what NRINest is
NRINest is a marketplace and community platform for the Indian diaspora in Ireland and, over time, the wider EU/UK. We connect people with classifieds, events, home cooks, shops, service providers, community groups and settling-in information.
NRINest is an intermediary. We are not the seller, buyer, organiser, cook, tutor, landlord, employer, lender or remittance provider in any transaction you find through the Platform, and we are not a party to any contract between users or between you and a third-party service. Any dealing you enter into is at your own risk and between you and the other party.
2. Eligibility & your account
You must be at least 18 (or the age of majority where you live) and legally able to enter contracts. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you give us and for all activity under your account.
Keep your login credentials secret and secure. Tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access. You must not share, sell or transfer your account, or create an account using another person’s identity.
3. Acceptable use
Your use of the Platform is subject to our Acceptable Use Policy, which prohibits (among other things) fraud, harassment, illegal or infringing content, spam, impersonation, scraping and automated data harvesting, unauthorised AI/model use of Platform data, and any attempt to compromise the security of the Platform or its users. Serious or repeated breaches may lead to suspension or a permanent ban.
4. Listings, content & your licence to us
You are solely responsible for the content you post (listings, messages, reviews, images, group posts). You must own it or have the right to post it, and it must be truthful and lawful.
You grant NRINest a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, display, reproduce and adapt your content only as needed to operate, promote and improve the Platform. You keep ownership of your content. We may remove or restrict content that breaches these Terms or the law.
5. Transactions between users
Prices, availability, quality, safety and legality of goods, services and events are the responsibility of the user offering them. Do your own checks before paying, meeting or sharing personal information. Never send money or documents to someone you cannot verify. Report suspicious listings to us.
6. Fees, ads & third-party services
Some features (e.g. premium listings, advertising, sponsorships) may carry fees, shown before you commit. Third-party services reached through the Platform — remittance providers, shops, payment processors — have their own terms and prices, which apply to your use of them. 7. Intellectual property
The Platform, its software, design, brand, logos and content (other than user content) belong to NRINest or our licensors and are protected by law. See our Copyright & IP Policy. You get a limited, revocable, non-transferable licence to use the Platform for its intended personal, non-commercial purpose (or the commercial purpose we expressly enable for vendors/advertisers).
8. Disclaimers
The Platform and its information are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not provide financial, legal, immigration, tax, medical or other professional advice; see our Disclaimers. FX and remittance figures are indicative and may not reflect the final amount you receive.
9. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law (including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud). Subject to that, NRINest is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, data or goodwill, or for the acts, omissions, content or services of other users or third parties. Your statutory consumer rights are unaffected.
10. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify NRINest against reasonable losses and costs arising from your breach of these Terms or the law, or from content or activity under your account.
11. Suspension & termination
You may stop using the Platform at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or our policies, to protect the Platform or its users, or as required by law. We’ll act proportionately and, where practical, give notice.
12. Changes, law & contact
We may update these Terms; material changes will be notified on the Platform. These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland and the courts of Ireland have jurisdiction, without affecting mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
